Volleychief Coaches



Varsity -- Marci Johnson
Coach Johnson is in her first season as the VarsityVolleyball Coach at Kickapoo High School.  Most recently, she served as the head coach at Springfield Catholic High.  In addition, she also coaches for Springfield Juniors and played for Missouri Southern State University for four years.  While at Missouri Southern she earned a bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's of Arts degree in Teaching.  She graduated high school from Winona, MO and lead her team to a state championship her senior year.  She is a chemistry and biology teacher at Kickapoo High School.  

JV -- Kim Harris
Coach Harris began teaching in Springfield Public Schools in 2005. She teaches Business, Health and PE at Kickapoo High School.  She is entering her 9th season as the JV Coach of the Volleychiefs, as well as, the 7th grade Cherokee Indians Coach.  She previously coached the Freshmen Volleychiefs during college in 1999 & 2000. Coach Harris has a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Business and a Masters in Teaching from Drury University. She is the wife of Michael Harris and the mom of two sons, Preston (6 yrs) and Cooper (3 yrs).

Freshmen -- Hope Gallamore
Coach Gallamore has been a teacher at Kickapoo since 2008 in the Social Studies department. She played volleyball during high school and still plays on adult leagues to this day. She is going into her 3rd year as the freshmen volleyball coach and her 3rd year as an assistant volleyball coach at Cherokee Middle School.  Coach Gallamore has a bachelor’s degree in Teaching Secondary Education Social Studies, A master’s degree in Teaching History, and a Masters Degree in Literacy. She is the wife of Lance Gallamore who is a teacher and football at Bolivar High School.  She enjoys movies and playing with her three dogs, Lucy, Yadi and Sonora during her free time.
