Congratulations to our 2013 Volleychiefs!  We appreciate all of the hard work that was put in during the summer and at tryouts.  We are looking forward to a very competitive season!

Youth Camp

Campers from the 6th - 8th grade

We succesfully hosted a total of 87 youth campers last week!  Our goal is to expose them to basic skill knowledge, challenge them with development drills and encourage them to improve.  We also hope they walk away excited to become a Volleychief in the future.  We are already looking forward to next years camp with adjustments to be made for the skill levels and high numbers.  We hope to have the girls back!

Summer Dates

Our Summer Conditioning and Camp Schedule can be found on the Volleychiefs Facebook page under files!  Please note, athletes will have the week after school gets out to relax.  Then, starting Tuesday, May 28th and Wednesday, May 29th we will begin the second Body Weight training session at 3pm.  These date changes are due to Memorial Day.

Coach Marci Johnson has been named the new Varsity Volleyball Coach at Kickapoo.  She joins us from Catholic High School and will be teaching in the science department at Kickapoo.  Welcome!

Farewell from Coach Downs :-(

I would like to take this opportunity as we welcome a new head coach to the Volleychief program to thank everyone who has supported our program over its long history.

I have made the decision to retire from coaching after 25 years at various levels to pursue opportunities in the next phase of my life.  I am so thankful and feel  truly blessed to have been a part of the Volleychief program.

The Volleychief program as started with Coach Schuble  has been a program rich in tradition.  That tradition has consisted of tremendous athletes, conscientious scholars and women of great character.

Please join me in supporting the next generation of dedicated coaches including Coach Johnson, Coach Harris and Coach Gallamore.  These young professionals are committed to the Volleychief program and the overall success of the young women who make up the Volleychief teams.  I am most proud of the fact that these coaches are dedicated to these women as people as well as players.  I truly believe the women who come out of the Volleychief program are second to none in overall character.

Volleychiefs Excel in the Classroom

The coaches are so proud of our Volleychiefs!!! All 3 teams landed in the Outstanding category and our freshmen team had the highest GPA of ALL fall sport teams (FB, XC, tennis, golf, softball)! Way to go, girls! Thank you for understanding the importance of classroom effort/work!
